Settled in our neighborhood in Hoi An

We've been here in our apartment for a week now and we are well taken care of. First of all, we went shopping, got a yoga mat as well as things that make our apartment more personal. It was easier than thought, we got everything we wanted.

We only had one extremely hot day so far, otherwise near by the river there is often a light breeze so that it can be well tolerated in this season. We live for the day, run off when getting hungry. Otherwise we both study hard to pass the time, me generative AI and Interior design and my love further cooking techniques but he has been infected by AI, too. 😊

On our street, there are numerous restaurants mainly Vietnamese, some of which family held. We tried some of them and have identified our "canteen" where we can sit by the river under the beautiful Hoi An lantern. A dinner for us 2 by now costs from 5 to 20€.

It is said that we are in the best and most favorite area to live in Hoi An. It is quiet but the Old Quarter as well as the beaches can easily be reached. In addition, it is no flood area when it comes to raining seasons. We think that the closeness to the Thu Bon river is definitely a plus, too.

In the last days, we have explored our neighborhood in the area of 1-1.5 km. There are numerous restaurants and noticeable many western style cafés. In walking distance there is Rehahn's ethnic museum, the French photographer who is very famous and who we were lucky to get to know personally back in 2016. Further, there are many Buddhist temples, Vietnamese, Chinese and even Thai ones.

Here, please find a potpourrie of impressions.

This morning, with the help by the kind real estate agent (we don't pay him at all), our apartment hotel offer us to move to the bigger apartment in April on the same price which provide a dinning table as well as a kitchen. 🥰
